Once again it’s the time of year when twelve acts are biting their nails and record labels are printing thousands of little album stickers because the Nationwide Mercury Prize is about to be decided. Widely regarded as the most valued of the gongs given out by the music industry the ‘Prize’ this year features a whole host of UK music’s leading lights including a number of debuts from the countries hottest new acts.
They include the likes of Klaxons, Bat For Lashes, Jamie T, New Young Pony Club and Maps. The judges have also thrown in their usual left filed nomination in the form of Basquiat Strings and their self titled album.
To celebrate this year’s awards Festivalwise has teamed up with the Nationwide Mercury Prize, to give you the chance to get your hands on some amazing Bose sound equipment. First we are giving away the Bose® SoundDock™, the Bose® SoundDock™ delivers high quality sound all from your ipod. We are also giving away the BOSE® in-ear headphones which deliver high quality sound, with a comfortable fitting headphone.
To get your hands on the prize simply answer this question. Who won last year’s Nationwide Mercury Prize?
