Morrissey brought an abrupt pause to his performance at last weekend’s Coachella festival because he could smell meat.
The vegetarian is reported to have walked off after the scent of nearby barbeques drafted towards the staging area.
One fan said the singer told the crowd he could “smell burning flesh”, adding: “And I hope to God it’s human.”
The pause is understood to have happened during the song ‘Some Girls’.
Many fans have expressed anger over the singer’s actions at the festival in Los Angeles.
Morrissey also expressed is anger over the smell of meat during an appearance at the Wireless festival in London last year.
At that festival, he blamed the smell of nearby burger vendors.
