More Lily Allen
Lily Allen has lashed out against UK newspaper The Guardian about a recent article published mocking a press release sent for her upcoming album 'Its Not Me, Its You'.
Calling the release “the year's most hilariously stupid document, even by the standards of the famously competitive public relations industry”, the paper pulled apart the release adding their own negative commentary on several different sections.
Responding via a comment left in the section under the article, Allen took matters into her own hands and gave her personal opinion on the piece.
“I think that what you wrote earlier was thoughtless and uncalled for,” she states.
“As we all know, it would be ridiculous to compare me to Wordsworth or Bennett and your poking fun at his reference was cheap, really.”
“I wonder if maybe there is some other agenda in the Guardian blog office regarding myself, as it seems the things I have read there always tend to be quite negative?”
The singer ended her comment signing her name at the bottom and saying, “Well anyway, I hope we can put this all behind us and that you can move on to writing something else that makes other people feel stupid, and you feel more clever.”
Lily Allen’s upcoming album ‘Its Not Me, Its You’ will be released February 9, 2009.
