More Guns N Roses
Red Indian rockers, Yeasayer, shared their Independence Day celebrations with the festival crowd, who were out in force to see their midnight set at Roskilde, Denmark this July 4th.
“It’s July 4th,” frontman Chris Keating told onlookers, “I’ve been pretty bummed out for the last eight years as there’s never been a real reason to celebrate. But this year George Bush is nearly gone!”
The Brooklyn-based act were on form despite having driven 22 hours straight to get to the festival on time, following their Manchester Apollo gig on July 2nd.
It wasn’t just Wilder that was keen to reveal his political persuasions, either. Guitarist Anand Wilder sported a Barack Obama t-shirt, leaving few guessing as to the band’s hopes for America’s coming election.
Yeasayer travel Europe with their magnetic brand of western psych-rock in the coming weeks, including dates in Paris, Vienna and Zurich.
