Portishead's Adrian Utley says it was a “buzz” to find out that Radiohead have been covering the bands new single 'The Rip'.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Radiohead have been performing the song live and recently posted an acoustic version on their website.
Speaking to BBC 6Music, Utley said he found out about the cover when Radiohead's Colin Greenwood emailed him.
“Colin from the band emailed me to say they had been playing it and that they'd put it up on their site of them playing it in the dressing room - Thom and Jonny,” he said.
"Thom sounds beautiful singing it, it was amazing, such a buzz."
Utley also revealed that Portishead, who released their long awaited album 'Third' earlier this year, had no more plans for 2008.
"I don't think we are going to be doing any more gigs this year no, but we'll possibly do some next year," he said.
