More Prince
More Coachella Festival
Prince will be paid $4.8million for headlining this years Coachella Festival in Los Angeles, it’s been reported.
The pop star’s surprise appearance was confirmed by organisers last Wednesday.
The two-day festival, which runs from April 25th-27th, will also feature performances from Jack Johnson, Portishead and Roger Waters.
According to Perez Hilton, Prince has been added to the bill in an attempt to "sell more tickets and make up for a less than stellar — in comparison to years past — roster of performers.”
It will be the first time that he has played at the event, which in recent years has seen performances from Arcade Fire, Bjork and Rage Against The Machine.
