Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis will escort rapper Jay-Z onto the main stage before his headlining slot at this year’s festival, it's been revealed.
Eavis said that the rapper and his manager had admitted to being “slightly worried about the audience not being a London or Birmingham urban crowd.”
“So I said, ’OK, I'll do something that I haven't done for the entire 38 year history of the Festival - I'll take you on stage and introduce you to the audience,” Eavis told the Glastonbury website.
Jay-Z’s headlining slot has divided the opinion of festivalgoers since it was announced earlier this year.
The rapper will headline the event, which runs from June 27th-29th, alongside The Verve and Kings Of Leon.
Tickets for this years Glastonbury Festival go on sale this Sunday (April 6th) at 9am to those who have already registered.
You’ll be able to get through to the ticket site via Gigwise so head back on Sunday to make sure you don’t miss out on this year’s event.
