The Police To Headline Isle Of Wight 2008

The Police have confirmed that they are to headline the Isle of Wight festival in 2008.

Sting and co. will bring the music extravaganza to a close on the Sunday night (June 15) in what will be their only UK festival appearance of the year.

Festival promoter John Giddings said if the news:  "It's a coup to get The Police for the Festival, we're very happy to have the biggest tour of the last two years stopping by the Isle of Wight."

The Isle of Wight Festival takes place 13th – 15th June at Seaclose Park, Newport, Isle of Wight.

Tickets go on general sales from 9am on December 10. More line-up announcements are expected soon.
