Glastonbury is famously going green this year, and now mobile phone company Orange have come up with an ingenious idea for those who want to save planet earth.
They’ve launched a prototype phone charger that is run entirely by wind energy.
Each charger is small enough to put in your rucksack and can be easily clipped on to the top of your tent and will potentially save festival goers from losing touch.
Sadly they aren’t available for general use just yet, but Orange have built some fully functioning models that will be on display at the event.
Hattie Evans, Head of Sponsorship at Orange, said “As official communications partner of Glastonbury Festival, it is important that we continue to innovate and demonstrate how mobile technology can make festival life a little bit easier, whilst respecting Glastonbury’s commitment to being environmentally aware.
”It is a small way that festival goers can enjoy their mobile phones when and where they need them while they are at the festival.”
